Water Operation & Maintenance

The City has 4 reservoirs totaling 1.8 million gallons of water storage. Currently we are constructing a 2 million gallon reservoirs on Candy Mountain.

The  City's water system is comprised of 8 groundwater wells, seven of which produces approximately 4500 gallons per minute. The City also has a water interconnect with the City of Richland's water system that can be utilitized to supply 1 million gallons per day to the City of West Richland.

Recently the City has upgraded the existing telemetry system which automatically controls and monitors the City wells and reservoir levels. The system is designed to contact a City representative 24-hours a day if any problems with the water or sewer system occurs. This provides a greater amount of safety and security and ensures the City continues to provide adequate services for all the residents.
