Water Operation & Maintenance
The City has 4 reservoirs totaling 1.8 million gallons of water storage. Currently we are constructing a 12 million gallon reservoirs on Candy Mountain.
| The City's water system is comprised of 8 groundwater wells, seven of which produces approximately 4500 gallons per minute. The City also has a water interconnect with the City of Richland's water system that can be utilitized to supply 1 million gallons per day to the City of West Richland. |
Recently the City has upgraded the existing telemetry system which automatically controls and monitors the City wells and reservoir levels. The system is designed to contact a City representative 24-hours a day if any problems with the water or sewer system occurs. This provides a greater amount of safety and security and ensures the City continues to provide adequate services for all the residents.
